Virtual Appointments

Gwinnett Urgent Care is now able to provide telemedicine services, also referred to as telehealth, to patients all over Georgia. Our telehealth consultations utilize live video and simulate an in-office consultation between patients and our providers, giving patients the care they need at their convenience.

We recommend using a smartphone, tablet or PC computer. If you use a PC, please make sure that you are using Google Chrome or Firefox as your web browser.

What Is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine, or telehealth, is an online doctor’s visit that occurs over the computer, tablet, or smartphone. We are excited to be able to provide this service because we understand the difficulty for patients to adjust their schedules to accommodate a visit to an urgent care. Now, patients can meet with a clinician from the comfort of their own home.

This service is reinventing the way health care is delivered. By providing access to a clinician through interactive video, our team can make your life easier. For a small family juggling jobs and school, telemedicine gives them the flexibility to incorporate a doctor’s visit into their everyday schedule. Even an individual or family that lives in a more rural area of Georgia will find that telemedicine is life changing. This is because it enables them to seek high-quality, affordable health care locally instead of driving more than an hour to find it.

How Much Does Telemedicine Cost?

Online doctor's visits vary in price depending on your health insurance coverage. However, we will make sure that you don’t ever pay more than $60 for an online consultation with our providers. Once you join the virtual screen, our front desk will call you to verify your personal information and insurance and collect copay.  Once paperwork and insurance verifcation is completed, you will be placed in the appointment queue where our staff will triage you before the virtual appointment with one of our providers.

Why choose Gwinnett Urgent Care Telemedicine over others?

If you use any other telemedicine service, you run the risk of paying twice. If your symptoms are too serious, you will be told to go to your nearest urgent care center, and you will have to pay for both visits.

With Gwinnett Urgent Care telemedicine, if your symptoms turn out to be too serious for treatment, whatever you paid for the online visit will be applied toward a visit in our office! Also, you will get to know our providers as well as our support Staff who will be taking care of you.

How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
